Commissioned by the newspaper De Standaard Ine Roox and I went to Cairo, Egypt, November 2011. Egypt is holding its first parliamentary election nine months after the abdication - caused by the civil resistance - of Hosni Mubarak. The army though tightens its grip on the situation and the people. The mother of a prominent Egyptian blogger has gone on hunger strike to protest her son’s detention. A know Egyptian television reporter resigned because of the growing interference by the army. A documentary about Cairo just before the first parlimentary election.
